I truly believe that health is so much more than just what we eat and how we exercise. 

To me, health is taking care of yourself so that you can live your best life. Health looks different for everyone, and I strongly believe that it is not determined by a certain size. I practice the non-diet approach because I believe that cultivating a healthy relationship with food, body, and movement is key for long term health.

I aim to eat food that nourishes my body and soul, move in a way that feels good to me, manage stress as best I can, and prioritize sleep. I specifically say “aim to” because of course, I don’t always do all of these things well. Making decisions from a place of self compassion, not self control, is key to my physical and mental health.

I do not believe that food is meant to cause fear and anxiety, and I think sometimes we give it far too much power in our lives. I believe food is meant to be nourishing and satisfying, and that the healthiest way to eat is the way that feels the best to you, mentally and physically. I love the science and art of nutrition, and practicing it in a way that is flexible and gentle.
